For this moving brand documentary, I served as DIT, Camera Operator, Colorist, and Post Production Director, supporting Oxenfree Film and Motion and the Tobii Dynavox team in telling the story of Kristopher, a young boy with autism learning to communicate through AAC technology.
Shot on location in Napa Valley, CA, this project came with a unique challenge: our director tested positive for COVID just before filming. I helped coordinate a remote interview setup that allowed him to direct live via Zoom from Orlando, all while maintaining an authentic feel for Kristopher’s on-camera interactions and supporting a smooth client video village experience.
In addition to capturing B-cam footage, I managed on-set data workflows and color graded the final deliverables. The campaign included a 3.5-minute documentary, along with (1) :30 and (6) :15 cutdowns—adapted into 38 individual assets across multiple aspect ratios and subtitle formats.
It was an honor to help bring Kristopher’s journey to life and show the impact of AAC through the eyes of his family, his speech therapist, and the team at Tobii Dynavox.
