Building for Scale

Building for Scale

At Oxenfree Film & Motion, I focused on building post-production systems that could scale without compromising creative execution. I operated as both an operational lead and a hands-on closer, responsible for quality control, workflow design, and supporting editors and producers across a growing slate of commercial, documentary, and broadcast work.

This attention to detail became critical on large-scale branded initiatives such as Tobii Dynavox, where a single campaign generated 100+ deliverables across formats and platforms, requiring disciplined QC, version control, and consistency at volume.

Making the Machine Work

Making the Machine Work

As the volume and complexity of work increased, I led the implementation of a centralized server and remote editing workflow that enabled Oxenfree to collaborate with world-class editors regardless of location. This infrastructure allowed the company to scale editorial capacity without sacrificing creative standards and became foundational to multi-editor efforts such as the CFCArts documentary series, where reliable collaboration, version control, and predictable delivery were essential.

To support that growth, I developed an internal post-production wiki to standardize onboarding, workflows, and troubleshooting, reducing ramp-up time and enabling faster problem-solving on evolving productions like Dr Phillips Charities, which was filmed and edited mere weeks from their anniversary event.

Where Decisions Get Made

In addition to post leadership, I regularly worked on set and in post as a closer, supervisor, and mentor, stepping in wherever needed to keep projects moving forward. On Very Local’s On The Job, this hands-on involvement led to expanded responsibilities and an elevated Producer credit, reflecting trust built through execution under pressure.

Across documentary projects such as United Arts' series, I balanced oversight with direct creative contribution, ensuring editorial integrity while supporting teams through long-form storytelling and tight delivery schedules.

Across all work at Oxenfree, my focus remained consistent: protecting quality while enabling teams to move quickly and confidently. By combining systems thinking, creative judgment, and hands-on leadership, I helped ensure work was delivered reliably at scale, even as complexity, expectations, and stakes increased.
